Katy Herbert Kotlarczyk is the department head and senior director of Gift Planning at the University of Colorado. Katy's previous CU experience includes serving as the head gift planner for the CU Boulder campus and as a major gifts officer for the Leeds School of Business.

Prior to coming to the University of Colorado, Katy led a scholarship program at Georgetown University that supported first-generation, low-income, and diverse undergraduate students. She also served as a fundraising and strategy consultant for nonprofit organizations in Washington, D.C.

Katy is currently serving as a board member and the vice president for the Colorado Planned Giving Roundtable. She completed her M.B.A. at the Kellstadt School of Business at DePaul University. She has both an undergraduate and Master's degree from Stanford University, where she served as captain of the women's gymnastics team and earned All-American honors on the balance beam. She enjoys living in Colorado with her husband and their three children.

Marianne is a Senior Director in the Office of Gift Planning with the University of Colorado. In her role, she supports the fundraising efforts of the Denver campus and the Colorado Springs campus Advancement teams. In her role, she assists donors and their advisors in considering and designing charitable giving plans as part of their personal financial and estate planning.

Marianne graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1982 with a B.A. in Psychology and from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1985 with a juris doctorate. She has practiced law in Oklahoma and Colorado (including a private practice in Colorado Springs from 1992 through 2003) in the areas of bankruptcy, civil litigation, wills/trusts/probate, family law, contracts, and business formation. Marianne is a member of the Colorado and El Paso County Bar Associations and a section member of the Elder Law and Trust & Estates committees. She also belongs to the Colorado Planned Giving Roundtable (former board member), the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners, the American Council on Gift Annuities and the Council for Advancement, and Support of Education. Marianne and her husband live in Castle Rock with their 3 beloved dogs and have a son studying chemistry at Colorado State University.

Amanda Hopkins is the Senior Director of Gift Planning at the University of Colorado Boulder and has been with CU since July 2017. She works with donors who are interested in making meaningful gifts during their lifetime and as part of their estate plans.

Prior to coming to the University of Colorado, Amanda led the fundraising efforts at Rollins College in Winter Park Florida as Assistant Vice President for Development. Amanda is also a licensed attorney in Florida and practiced in the areas of commercial real estate and secured finance law.

Amanda completed her juris doctorate at the University of Florida, College of Law and her undergraduate at Rollins College. She enjoys living in Colorado with her husband, Jason, and their two children.

Colin Ware is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience working in the arts, higher education, academic medicine, and consulting. Colin holds an M.B.A. from UCLA and served as a major gift or planned giving officer for University of Washington and University of Montana prior to joining CU. In addition to his face-to-face fundraising experience, Colin has a strong record in direct marketing and fundraising, including serving as Audience Development Manager at the San Francisco Symphony and Director of Marketing at the Denver Center Theatre Company. When not working, Colin can be found throwing rocks at the Denver Curling Club or hiking the Front Range of the Rockies.

Caroline "Lina" Stein is the Associate Director of Gift Planning at the University of Colorado Boulder and works with donors to fulfill their philanthropic passions through planned giving vehicles.

Lina is an attorney, published author, and fundraiser who has worked in various public interest capacities, including higher education and nonprofit fundraising, foreclosure prevention, medical sex abuse litigation, and international human rights. She holds a juris doctor degree from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon and a B.S. in Business Administration from Central Washington University. Prior to coming to the University of Colorado, Lina was a major gift fundraiser at the University of Massachusetts Amherst's College of Natural Sciences.

Lina is dedicated to animal welfare causes and enjoys hiking, gardening, and spending time with her husband and their four animals.

David, a resident of Boulder, received his MBA from the University of Colorado in 1991. Since then, he has served in a variety of roles with the University of Colorado Foundation, the University of Colorado Real Estate Foundation and with the University, now primarily focused on managing a real estate portfolio, engaging industry volunteers in assisting the University with strategic real estate needs and cultivating and managing gifts of real estate.

Ali Clark has been with the University of Colorado's Office of Gift Planning since June 2013. She currently serves as the Senior Program Manager and manages marketing, stewardship, and estate administration efforts. Ali hails from Tucson, Arizona and holds a B.S. in Journalism and Geology from Northern Arizona University and an M.P.A. from University of Colorado. Before moving to Colorado, she worked for various federal agencies and universities in Arizona.
